I made a leek pie once. It was a completely chaotic and disastrous event and went well beyond the limit of how hard I thought making a leek pie could be.
It was an ordinary and trivial activity in my life, but remained in my memory very vividly. I found it very interesting that some of my life changing or tragic memories can become very faint and distant but some mundane events such as making the leek pie can be so strong.
